CRAZYHEAD... back (soon)
« on: March 26, 2013, 08:10:21 PM »
Looks like the mighty Crazyhead will be back for some gigs soon & Desert Orchid has just been re-released on Cherry Red. One of my fave late 80s bands - and one of the most under rated bands ever (IMHO) - too indie for the rock crowd and too rock for the indie crowd - but on a good night - one of the best live bands you'll see...

Porkbeast has set up a facebook page with loads of old vids..

I've missed my copy of desert orchid for a long time now - ever since my car got nicked.

I see the re-release has an extra disc and tracks, looks like I might be acquiring it!

Looks like stuff from 12"s of around the same time - so its all been available before - but good to have in one place on cd

tbh I think Desert Orchid was a bit too produced as the record co were never quite sure what to do with the band - i think i much preferred the more basic production on Some Kind of Fever. But you cannot really argue with the quality of the tunes on Desert Orchid - top stuff
