Köln resturant recommendations

Anyone recommend any restaurants in Köln, I am taking the wife to the show, so I thought I'd treat her to a decent meal.

A decent Italian would be ideal, as she loves that.

Don't know about Italians but we found a very nice German/traditional pub/restaurant - very good food and decent prices - pretty much on the square where the main Christmas Market is; can't remember the name sadly, but there's quite a few of them in the area so it shouldn't be too difficult to find one
