It's a good song but why spell it incorrectly? I can't find Pennistone on any atlas but I do know Penistone in the hills between South and West Yorkshire.  ???

I listened to this song last night and thought how great it is.

Thanks for the interview link.

Summer Moors grabbed me at first listen. It's so beautiful and melancholy.
Get me out of my brain.

It's from Wuthering Heights. There's a crag near Haworth, which is supposedly where the inspiration for Pennistone Crag came from in the novel...

I read it years ago and frankly I wasn't into it, but it was on whim and not really my sort of book. I was going through a bit of HP Lovecraft  and the like at that point. I didn't really soak up the story too much at all, but given the mentions of the Bronte book I'd say you're probably right.....

I can see myself becoming quite obsessed with Summer Moors. I love all of the new album, but for me, this song stands out - in fact, I think it could well be the most beautiful vocal JS has ever recorded.

Can't stop listening to it.  :)

Totally agree, this is a truly beautiful song. It's right up there with the likes of Marry the Sea, Marrakesh, Lullaby etc. In some ways its structure, musicality, singing and lyrics almost make it a perfect piece of balladry. I love it.

They played it a few times on the 2013 UK tour.  it really is a powerful song and works very well live.

Heard it live for the first time at Bilston last month. It was superb, a real joy. Sounded so precise, you would think they had being playing it for years. Clearly the band rehearse there sets very much in advance.

Hope they do it again next week in Notts
