Game Of Thrones - Probable Spoilers For Non Book Readers
« on: June 19, 2014, 09:53:20 PM »
Been a bit surprised there's not been a thread for this but thought it best to wait for the end of S4.

So where do ya think S5 will go? Martin padded out the next couple of books with interminable descriptions of what everyone ate and bearing in mind a season on TV is only 10 episodes they gonna have to carry on condensing plotlines.

A lot of Ironborn story to come and of course a certain Brotherhood with a new leader..... they cut out Coldhands but surely they can't cut her out can they? Bran seems to be miles ahead of other storylines how are they going to bring it all back in line? A lot of stuff to go on across the sea too: Tyrion, Arya Ironborn etc etc... That's without Dorne coming into play. Got the aftermath in Kings Landing too.................

???

I just recently discovered the series and it was addictive. I can not stand the entire Lannister family or the new king. I have never been so angry watching anything ever but harming innocent people really pisses me off even if it's just fiction.  The very best charterer was murdered in front of his own daughters simply for being a good guy. I am told that I will hate them even more as I watch the next couple of seasons. The books are just too long and I am short on time. Otherwise I would read them all.

I watched it in only two nights and now have to see the second season soon to see what happens.

Amandistan, this is a totally hardcore series and, believe me, things ain't gotta get any nicer.  But they do get so much more awesome... brilliant performances, fantastic twists and, yes, a whole bunch of people who get fucked up thanks to being 'good guys'.  Prepare yourself for so much bad stuff!

You'll love it.  Just stay the **** away from Internet spoilers!!!!

The charterer development is wonderful. Arya is awesome as is all of her brothers and bastard brother.

Yes you will hate the Lannisters more and more and more.............. but there are twists and turns ahead. As Ray said tho': STAY away from spoilers because there are some mad things that happen. And yes it does get bloody and it does get nasty but it's brilliant  :)

Some of the later books seemed to wander about for ever with pages describing food, the weather, belly button fluff etc etc but well worth sticking with (hope Martin actually gets round to finishing the bloody story before he pops his clogs)

Arya is by far the best character in both book and show for my money - that girl kicks arse! Really think Maisie Williams is doing a brilliant job in the show and she's only 17.
