Albums that you never shouldn't had to sell
« on: November 22, 2014, 02:58:04 PM »
Well, it's time for a heart aching topic. It will give us goos and bumps, and the amount of tears is countless.

Every one of us have given away/sold or lost some album at some time in our lives. Maybe you didn't like the music, or get inside it then. Needed some money or simply lost it... And later on you realised it, remembered that piece of art from long gone past. And wonder where ever did it go.

Here are few of mine:

Nazareth - Hair of the Dog,  bought this to my friend as a gift in eighties without knowing what I bought. I liked it very lot.

Jerry's Kids - Kill,  kill, kill
, have no idea where did I lose it. Maybe as a spare or bundle with other records

Raven - Rock Until You Drop,  I've just recently realised how amazing they were. Remember seen the album last time in 90's.

Ok, so how about you?

Here's more:

The Mice - Scooter. I sold it.

Extreme Noise Terror - Holocaust In Your Head This was the first press and someone probably stole it while I was doing a DJ gig at a punk club. However, I bought a new one which is a new press (probably German edition). The photo in the link above is a back cover, which is not in the new press.

Not so much an album but when I was about 17 or 18 I sold pretty much all  the vinyl I had to some record dealer - guess I was getting a bit over keen on CD's or something. Hard to think about it now  without giving myself a slap: 7", 12", albums , a lot of 80's indie/new wave - all gone  :(

Never sold any but lost a good few along the way. Had nearly all the early meteor's singles think that's the most painful loss.

Once I traded some rare 7"s with an Israelian guy. A friend of mine noted to me am I an idiot. But I'm glad also about some trades, like The Civilized Society double lp "You Were Warned" I once got. There are their both albums + I had already their first as a single press.

I remember whern the first used record stores started popping up in the Boston area. I immediately traded in stuff I wasn't listening to all that much including the first Pink Floyd album, the first three Hendrix albums, and some of the first pressing Beatles on capitol. Dumba**, when I see what they are worth now........
