Finally Got Myself a NMA T-Shirt
« on: February 03, 2018, 05:50:34 PM »
Here in The United States Of Trump it is sometimes difficult to get t-shirts and such from British bands. Heck, back in the '80s I had to make my own Echo and the Bunnymen shirts. (Full disclosure: they came out amazing. Better than any Bunnymen shirt I have ever seen.)

Well, New Model Army clothing over here is impossible to get. I went to the official site, but the logo on the shirt was not what I wanted. Luckily enough I did find a seller in the US of Trump and I bought myself this shirt:

I have worn it once out in public...no recognition from anybody. One of my family members just asked if that was new. Man, I wear a pair of Clyde sneakers (I bet you folks across the pond have no idea what they are) and I can't go three steps without somebody commenting on them. NMA? No response at all. They just are very unknown here.

I do love my NMA shirt, though. Took me thirty-five years to get one.

By the way, these are Clydes. Wear these around here and everybody wants to talk about them:

Congratulations. You have just purchased a bootleg New Model Army tee shirt. The reason NMA shirts are so hard to find in the US is because there are no official shirts printed in the US and no one stocks official shirts. Only shirts purchased directly from New Model Army are official and that isn't one of them.

Damn, I can't stand bootleggers. I feel shame.
But, I have purchased numerous items from the official store so I don't feel like a total criminal.

It was also an orangutan in a couple of films with Clint Eastwood. Just throwing it out there..... ;D
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

I live in the US and have a good handful of NMA t-shirts.  All bought from the shop.  If you've bought other stuff in the shop, why not buy a t-shirt or two?

I've had a few people recognize them in Nashville TN.  But most comments are from people who know their history and ask why I'm wearing a Cromwell's army shirt.
