Still have this poster
« on: August 30, 2019, 09:00:24 PM »
Even though I'm new to the forums, I'm a true NMA fan through and through.  So I wanted to share with you all a poster that I've had forever.  And still in pretty good shape.

I obtained this poster from Zed Records in Long Beach, California.  They used to have posters on the walls and would sell them when they no longer had a use for them.  Once I saw it, i put the money down and had it reserved once it came down.  No Rest is my hands down favorite NMA record.

I don't know how to add an image to the post so i uploaded it to imgbb.com

I've always had plans to have a music room with my walls lined with posters.  And this poster is big too.  It's about 5 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide.  Once the 2nd kid finishes college, i'm getting that music room :)

I'm sure many of you attended some of the dates listed at the bottom of the poster.

If you want to insert an image here, it goes like this:
- You have to upload it to a platform which provides you with a link. I use: https://postimages.org/de/.
- You copy the link, then press the button with the nice mona lisa on it . Your cursor will be in between the embedding code and there you paste the link in between.

If your image is very big you should use the resize option before uploading.

And a nice poster there you have! Thx for sharing and i hope you will post images of that room you will have when its ready.

That's very cool.
And that poster is at the precise time they were their greatest.

No one attended those dates, they were all cancelled.

I believe I attended all of them when they were rebooked in June of 1985.

Used to have that poster myself, and would like to have it again as it's somewhat significant for me. If ever you fail to get a music room, I have one which has at least one wall that's not covered in guitars.

Weird comment. All of those gigs were cancelled, as it was exactly a week after Stuart left and almost exactly a week before I joined.

The precise time they were their greatest. Between bassists...how odd.

Cool poster, piece of history. Can you get clip frames that big?

Moose, just flyover the posts (every one of them) of this guy, he was famously known as a troll on another account before, and he still his with this nick, I call for a possibility to ignore someone on the forum just for him. He will try anything to get attention, and as he have nothing of interest to say, he can only try by provoking people !

All time were great with NMA, my favorite album was GoC for a reallyyyyyyyy long time, then Eight, then Purity then... but wait, my favorite song was always Betcha, no ... Vanity, no ... hum ...
There will always be people to say « it was better before », and yes, Stuart bass lines are amongst the best bass lines ever (and Stranglers ones, and as simple as they were, Joy Division ones and so many ...), but all other bass players in NMA were REALLY up to the part.

No best period in New Model, just different periods  ;)
