Back on thread  ;)

My girlfriend doesn't like the same music at all as me. I like NMA, Rush, The Chameleons stuff like that whereas she likes Stereophonics, New Order and dance stuff.... I don't even know what it's called... something to do with The Ministry of Sound... whatever type of music it is they make she likes it   ???

We've been together for two years and the fact we like different music doesn't matter really. I have tried to get her to come to a couple of concerts but she won't and I know she wouldn't enjoy them so there's no point in her coming.

I think that the early mention of US rock band 'Bon Jovi' excuses me from later mentions of the letters 'B' and 'J'... jeez, this should be an episode of Sesame Street... 'This show is brought to you by the letters B and J and the number 69'...  ;)

This was a painful episode in my life, you insensitive buggers!

The sufferage of Bon Jovi is indeed a terrible plight. I sufferde the poodle heeaded ones in 87 at Donnington....... =(
Metallica n Anthrax made it bearable......  8)

I was there too, BON JOVI..... :P
Tonight, as you stare at the ceiling again
With your lover turning away
Disappointment closing in
Like the walls... and you try...
You try to talk about love
And they put their arms around you
But you still feel all alone
Wonder why...

I feel your pain !  What is it with that band. I just don't get their appeal. I love rock / Metal, and always have, but they only have one song I can listen to without feeling slightly nauseous - Wanted, Dead or Alive, and even that has very cheesy lyrics. Not a bad toon though.

My other half likes stuff that's either really, really good (Scroobius Pip, NMA, Dropkick Murphys, Ministry, William Elliot Whitmore, Old Crow Medicine Show) or total cack (Daft Punk?  Please......).

I'm at a bit of a loss to explain it, as she doesn't take music seriously particularly, but a lot of the music she does like is quite deep (see above), and some of it is such utter, utter shite that I can't believe that she can honestly say that it's as good as the rest.  I know "good" isn't a particularly helpful word to use when discussing music, but you get my drift.
