Just read on the BBC  that he's passed away. Not a fan but I recognise his contribution to music. Shame

Like you, not a fan but I recognise how important he's been to so many people...

I hope hope that his last release wasn't that bloody awful thing he did with Metallica...

hey jc I wish I'd got here before you - I feel a bit bad now  in mentioning Lou Reed had a real distaste for the 'RIP' nod - something about it being the microwave meal of obituaries...

Sometimes theres not much else you can say though is there

He made a few of my favourite albums, but those were all from before '76, just sad I never got to see him play.
