Your song to calm down
« on: January 31, 2015, 04:11:53 PM »
Is there a special song you can listen and just only enjoying it, to calm down, stopping the bad thoughts going round and round for some minutes,  enable you to restart to continue?

My No. 1 is this one

And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

Good idea. This kind of songs are a nice ending for a day when you've worked a hell lot, had some really challenging things coming up and finally you get home, it's evening and you have some time to relax before midnight. Finally you're free about everything and going to bed soon.

That's beautiful, Lotus. I could imagine a situation when it fits well to listen.

My all time fave from Bill Laswell:

Blue Movie Theme

Here's another: Petter Molvaer in trumpet:

Lightning Teleportation

Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Led Zeppelin - Bron-Yr-Aur*: http://youtu.be/KqptegyFWbE

A song from an age when life was simpler.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

I am usually not on for instrumental music but when I have a day that all seems to have gone to shit.... This seems to comfort me.

As well as the JS album "Navigating by the Stars" .

Also Bob Marley makes it seem a bit better.

Quite possibly the ultimate chill-out tune (although the fact that it's a bit over-used in movies / TV / adverts might take the shine off a bit...)  Brian Eno, 'An Ending / Ascent'... beautiful....

Probably depends on why I need to calm down !

If it's proper fucked up head stuff then it will be Changing Of The Light.

If it's because I am Angry, Walk Unafraid - REM

If it's silly nonsense then it's On Top Of The World – Imagine Dragons.

I got loads for every sort of head fucked uppery situation you care to come up with.
