He truly is an artist and (as  a bonus)  also very nice.

A very interesting interview and a side of music you don't normally get to see. Most of us probably would think its the best job in world but its very hard work

Really interesting- cheers.

Can't say I understood exactly how it all works but he's pretty much playing another instrument isn't he?  :D

I find that side fascinating. Last year, I asked the two NMA sounds guys several questions because I found their work fascinating. They politely answered and seemed happy about my curiosity. One even said i should consider going to school to learn about being a sound technician.  Paul Harvey was one and he genius. For interesting conversation and longer, don't go right to JS. He is often mobbed and it's not fair. Go speak to a sound guy or a crew member. They will be delighted at the interest.

But Paul and the (BOH)  Moncky man are very professional but also nice.
I believe Paul uses the dials and knobs and computers as a canvas.  He uses it to create a perfect sound.

I would continue my rave about sound technicians for hours but must ask where the interview is?
I clicked the link and didn't see it.
