The new guy sounds terrible. Can any of the Brazilian family (or anyone else) provide some more information, please.


Looks like yet another deeply divided country. Not a good trend.

I believe he is a big admirer of Mr.Trump.............that might give some indication of what type of person he is ?  >:(

I know. That's why I'm so puzzled that over 50% voted for him. So I'd like to know a little bit more about the background. Were the other options even worse?

Scarily, there's a lot of that going around.

Whatever country you live in, I guarantee you that you have politicians who are Trump admirers and will behave as Trump did when they run for higher office.

We must face the fact that Trumpism is going to be with us on a global level for a while. Brazil just got bit, Philippines, Czech Republic, France almost did... Major nations are embracing a Trump figure and putting them in power.

You foreigners didn't count on that, did you?
