I was surprised it arrived on Thursday,tracking said it would be today.I was even more amazed as there is no longer a Mail Plane to Jersey.....it all comes by ferry,which at this time of year can be a bit hit and miss especially with all the  storms of late leading to boats unable to make crossings...

Sunn O)))'s Life Metal - it got flagged up in an article on Steve Albini as one of the classics he'd engineered/produced and I thought it sounded intriguing. It certainly is, fuzz  doom guitar metal  meeting dark ambient - kind of like " Into the Pandaemonium"-era Celtic Frost meeting Black Mountain Transmitter...

Listening to / watching "Hurt". Johnny Cash. Must be a contender for the best ever song cover, and emotional video. R.I.P. to them both.

Loving the new album by The The.  Loved this band since the 80's and this one is the first one in nearly a quarter of a century.  And it's rather great, I'm a happy MR right now!    :)
