Yes the audio recording has been posted on the site www.dimeadozen.org
It's a torrent site, you have to register to see the list of gigs.

Gah! Dimeadozen, bittorrents, ddl sites - I know nothing of these things. Would dearly love to have a recording of this gig. Can someone send me the file or point me into a user friendly way of getting it? Do not want to break the bands copyright in the process tho' if that is an issue.

Hi, the hotel I was staying in was a few streets away from le sacre coeur and the information you provided was very interesting, did not know the history of that area. That was a very short lived revolution! :)
Short, but the first red flag, and the first "communist" revolution, according to ... Karl Marx :)

A question, around that area I saw many armed police (soldiers?) with sub machine guns doing patrols. Why is this? I once got accosted by a peddler in that area which was uncomfortable but I cannot imagine armed soldiers are there to control that issue?
This is a really touristic area. So there's a lot of people that gonna accost you, mainly to propose you to enter for a sex show :). No reason for military with them ;). But, for decades now, they try to frightened us by the terrorist menace, and a special emergency state is declared so that they can display military in Paris. As far as I know, their machine guns are not even loaded (an ex military told me that), so it's not even to really protect people, but just to cause fear in the population, to be able to manipulate the opinion more easily. This is exactly "the shock doctrine" (if anybody on this forum haven't seen that and read this, it's an emergency, grab it and watch it, or read the book :)).

It was so cold in Paris I think I have returned to the uk with a dose of pnumononia and have been bed bound. Still, was worth it for the amazing gig! :)
I can't believe that someone living in the UK could find Paris colder than England :D

[edit] about the military, Wikipedia is definitely the place to look for :) here's a very brief english page about it and a more complete page, in French, where you can see that it has been cancelled only two times since 1991, once for 4 years, and once for 2 month, and was never really canceled since 1996 ...

Sad but true. I used to be a Northerner but living in the South of England has made me soft to the winter. :)

Thank you for the information, lots to read up on. Good stuff.

you're welcome, when it comes to topics I like, I tend to link too much informations ;). But really, if you haven't, the most important is to watch (or read) the shock doctrine, amazing documentary !

BTW, on a totally different subject, does anyone know if it's always Justin that bring the music to play before / after the gig ? I'm pretty sure it used to be him (had too many times various Motown, Cypress Hill and Noir Désir before the gigs to be just a coincidence) but lastly seemed to me there was a lots of old Trojan records, perhaps I'm fooling myself, am I the only one that wonder ? :D

I thought the same thing at the Paris gig, I keep hearing the same music before an NMA gig no matter where I see them and the when I heard the same music before the Justin/Dean gig in Paris I knew it was too much of a coincidence. Would like to know for sure though.

When there was always Aretha / Cypress / Noir Désir, I knew it was the band because JS stated in many interviews he like those bands, but as for today, I'm not sure :) And as I'm in a big Trojan Ska / Reggae revival, I will find it funny :)

I didn't know. very interesting point.
is it an old habit ?
I thought it was the venue that played music.
I remember "London Calling" played just before the opening of the 25th Birthday Paris Gig (la Locomotive). Stunning !

Yes, it definitely was, as I said, many years ago, every NMA gig I went to had the same bands played before the concert. I was just wondering if it was still the same, 'was funny to notice I was in the same music mood for the past few month ;)

I can be wrong but I'm almost sure that that night there was one of the locomotive DJ, it was not a JS tape :)
