Ray, just got back from the pub, my eldest lad home for the weekend from Uni, in the past he watched "Dead mans shoes", and loved it,  now I am going to introduce him to "This is England" for the first time.

Just watched a thing about organized football violence"casuals" etc and while i totally detest violence of any kind its was a good insight into what made these guys tic. I came to the opinion that they were basically chasing the buzz that i get from music.

Watching the totally awesome Jeremy Wade again and his river monsters program itv4.
Tonight he is in Chernobyl fishing for mutant wells catfish in cooling lake of the nuclear reactor.

Just bought myself a Christmas present, a Blu-Ray boxset of the LETHAL WEAPON movies for eight quid... bargain.   ;)

Just stuck on the first one... damn, why aren't action movies this much FUN nowadays..?   ???

It's A Wonderful Life, seeing as I work with a lot of folks are getting all festive and I'm struggling to get that way...

Such a brilliant film, a true masterpiece, often regarded as some kind of cheesy bullshit... it really isn't.  Surprisingly dark in places.  And Jimmy Stewart is one of the greatest actors who ever lived.  Plenty of lessons to be learned over these two hours.  And if the ending doesn't put a lump in your throat... well, I fear for your soul...   ;)

A  very nice Xmas film. Does not show on telly much in the last few years, I think it has been put on the back burner for the DVD market.
