Pennywise were a pretty enjoyable band, rather forgotten nowadays...sort of halfway between metal and pop-punk... this is a pretty good example of what they were all about...

I love metal.  My first metal album was Sabbath's "We Sold Our Souls for Rock & Roll" and I was lucky enough to be there for the birth of thrash, death and everything else.  What an amazing time to be a music fan, to be able to buy...on the day of their release... so many albums that are considered to be the best metal albums of all-time.  That's pretty cool. 

I'm still into it now but I haven't been keeping up with the scene as much as I'd like to.  There are simply too many bands and sitting through 900 bands to find the one or two that catch your ear is too much work.

I've seen my music hobby has lead me to buy used albums and hard to find stuff. Mostly stuff that I still can recognise from my teen years. 

Really, I think it's worth to that! I've realised that many albums that I used to see in 2. hand record shops are not reachable anymore. Haven't been in a long time (30 years?) until now.

Imo tool are fckin awesome,  they have some of the best and most respected musicians in industry.  There live shows , DVDs and art are also excellent. Although nothing like nma I'm gonna quote justin on nma " a band for intelligent people who have been in dark places "

I could write a hundred bands I like here but these days I'm revisiting Judas Priest Painkiller album.I have it since the day it's released and in my opinion it's really a killer.Real art and a masterpiece.Also Suicidal Tendencies is still on my playlist since 90's.

Damn.  Just checked out Lateralus.  I might have heard it once or twice 'back then' but it blew me away.  Cheers, mate, now off to investigate the rest of their stuff...
