Just been catching up on these (well except the German ones as I've a rather restricted knowledge of German I'm afraid). Nice to read so much positive stuff.

How dare he!  ;D

He still rates it a seven out of ten though, so it's not that bad.

Interesting review. Maybe not entirely wrong.

Personally I am happy to seek shelter under the "old gnarly tree"

I disagree with the is this music review. I don't think Englishness  is the correct term for NMA, If i am correct it's not very English to express emotions in such a passionate manner. From my observations it's not very English to use the terms "I feel" or even discuss  emotions publicly. I could be completely wrong though and this was not meant to offend anyone.
Some of the early stuff sounded English but from Eight Strange Brotherhood onward  that sound is not so dominate.

Also, it's wrong to say that only fans will like this album. I played it in my car with a passenger who had never heard the band ever and they were interested and expressed that they really liked it. It's a bit cynical to say that.

The mid-land rock review was so good that it now has it's own thread.
plus i sort of missed it in here. We need an Emoticon for shy-grin. That would be my most used one.  :)
