Wasn't the first version of First Cut Is The Deepest by P. P. Arnold in the 60's?

After a bit of research and a few minutes of boredom I've found it was written by Cat Stevens but first released by PP Arnold in May 67 and a few others  ;D ;D

Free fallin- Tom Petty and 100mph by the Stereophonics. Think theyd pull both off pretty well.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

I'm not sure if it would work or not but I'd love to hear what the band could do with Eminem's "Lose Yourself".
They do such masterful work with story songs and how they build and build with tension.

I've always liked the Norma Frazer version on studio one

I never realised how great a song writer Cat Stephens was until recently
