Hello Family .It has been a very long time since I last posted here . A lot of things have happen in that time The passing of my father in April 2018. My move from NY to Dallas in December 2018 and getting adjusted to a totally different environment here in Dallas Texas. I have been on the New Model Army Facebook site So I have been keeping up with the news about the New Album and I have listened to the 2 songs released by the band on Youtube .As usual outstanding by Justin and the lads. It is always difficult as in will now be almost a decade since they toured in the the US and those 2 shows in Brooklyn are some of the best memories of seeing the band and the family that came over from England and other European countries to see them.
This post is about something else thou and it should be a warning about right wing demagogues and the fact that I see Boris Johnson will be your next PM.
We have a major problem here in America with Donald Chump as President if you have heard his recent speeches and Twitter rants he is now going after people of color something I heard Boris likes to do. I urge you as citizens of Your country to protest this person and his hate speech. Some say he is Donald Trump lite with a British accent. Well if he is nothing good will come from him. He will try the divide and Conquer tactic Trump is using here. And if you heard the recent news another racist bigot armed with a semi automatic gun killed 3 people at a festival in California 2 days ago.The only way for us here in the states is to wait till election day and vote this clown and his enablers out .The house wants to start impeachment proceedings but the senate controlled by Republicans will never allow it so that won't happen . I don't know how your parliament works but watch what his followers say and do.they will be Boris Johnson mouth piece. Do not fall for their tactics. Good luck to all my family we will get thru the hate that is now out in the open in America and hopefully it will not fester in England.

I wouldn't say that I was a conservative in any way shape or form but comparing Boris Johnson to Donald Trump is a bit far fetched. I doubt he'd get away with what Donald comes out with as the left would be all over him like a rash if he came out with anything inappropriate

That poll you mentioned is with Republican voters that is not the whole country .If you look at polls amongst if the election was held today Every Democratic candidate beats Donald Trump.Polls Change and the Democrats have not picked their main challenger Yet. Although the front runner looks to be Joe Biden.

Forget about polls, my friend. Polls had Hillary winning the whole shebang.
Polls are good for a show of support or how many people might see a movie or what is one's favorite sports team; but when it comes to predicting elections, throw polls out the window. Polls now say Biden would trounce Trump and all Dem candidates beat Trump. You really want to bank on that? You really feel it is game over for Trump because polls say so?

No but I know the mood of this country.Donald Trump did not win the popular vote he lost by over 3 milion votes matter of fact . He won by the electoral college. Which meant he flipped 4 states that voted for Obama. Wisconsin, Michigan, Virginia, Ohio. You flipped those states back and there is no way he wins . Now we can debate the old electoral college system against one man one vote but that is how trump won and for the time being that is the system that will remain in place. Plus the fact that there were over 70 million that did not vote for either candidate.

Welcome back Ron, sorry that you’ve been through the mill lately but glad that you’re back out the other side.
I believe Boris is a different character from that of Chump, seems like we are both the laughing stock of the world but it is not funny.

You are overlooking and leaving out one key factor in your prediction: incumbent.
It is extremely are for an incumbent to lose a Presidential election. Only happened five times. One has to be a real disaster (Carter) or be challenged by a dynamic, charismatic new candidate (Obama, Clinton) for an incumbent to lose. Trump, though he may be a disaster, is not perceived to be one by half the country, and there is no dynamic, charismatic new candidate running for President on the Democratic side.
Unless something really, really bad happens in the next year and a half, Trump the incumbent will win re-election.

I simply cannot vote Labour while he runs the party. I dont want to live in a 1970's time machine. The party has been taken over by Momentum and it will be the death knell of it.

Yes I'm going to shock you and for the first time say I agree with Whirlwind. He will get in again it looks like as while people here, who are of the left, cannot fathom why anyone would want to vote for him, working class Americans who have seen their jobs leave the country and are struggling are now seeing them return.
And again Whirlwind is right. Trump may be anathema to many here, but he is doing this attack for a reason. These 4 women, who just happen to be women and of colour, are extreme left wingers and a problem to the Democrats. Even Pelosi has said so. So he is digging the needle into their party further. And it is working.
In the end their economy is booming. That is a sure way to ensure re-election.

Whilst I have no time for him, some of the left wing allegations are ludicrous. He will be re-elected for sure bar some major scandal. The left has been hijacked imho, by agenda driven politics that doesnt resonate with average Joe. Thats why New Labour succeeded. They took the centre ground. Any extreme, left or right, alienates the reasonable and fair minded, which I beleive most people are. As Ive said, I cannot vote Labour while those agendas, which belong in the 1970's, are being used as sticks to beat people with.
By way of example, our Black Country flag, designed by a school child, was deemed as racist by the elected MP for Wolverhampton. Now I understand that slavery used chains and this area was prominent in the chainmaking history amongst other things. But to link a school girls design with something that happened over a century ago as a racist design is frankly ludicrous. Do we then accuse all ships of representing racism???

That really is the key that what will ensure a Trump victory in 2020.
The lunacy and idiocy that Trump spouts and exhibits DOES NOT MATTER to a large portion of the American populous. Trump said one very insightful thing in his life when he said this: "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters." Sounds like more insanity from Trump, but that statement is dead on accurate. His supporters just don't care about the wrongs he does. Trump will win the election in 2020 and be President for another four years.
