American Psycho, very good; I've watched it several times. FMJ, a superb film. My favourite of the "Nam" films the Americans made in the 80s when they finally came to terms with having lost that war, and it's OK to make films about it. Remember watching it with my Dad in the late 80s, feeling quite embarrassed by some of Lee Emery's comments, "the best part of you rolled down,,,," Did you know all the scenes where the sniper is hiding in the building were filmed in London's docklands? It was cheaper to build Hanoi in London than to take all the actors and film crew to Hanoi. Shook Lee Emery's hand once and told him I admired his work. Still do.

The longer this century goes on, the more I feel I belong in the last one.

Watched '28 Years Later - The Bone Temple', loved the previous installment and this one is even better... a truly mind-fooking follow-up with brilliant performances throughout, some utterly horrific violence but a lot of humour as well, don't watch it unless you've seen 28YL, it'll make no sense at all but if you enjoyed that one then you gotta check this one out.  And there's a bit with Ralph Fiennes and a certain Iron Maiden song that is truly one of the best things I've seen in a cinema in recent years... no spoilers!  Have a look at the trailer...

Sounds promising, but i just can't find a copy of the movies before, for a reasonable price. Thought i wanted to watch 28YL, but before i wanted to re-watch 28 Days and i haven't even watched 28 Weeks. So now i find a copy of 28 Days for 248€ or 28 Weeks for 77€..what's going on? I'll wait for the prices to drop or find a used copy

Have you seen the first two movies?  If so, and you're familiar with the general concept then you don't really need to rewatch them, there's nothing in 28YL that you need to recollect, no recurring characters or anything.

Yes, count me in! Love those guys and their movies. Kind of the first television shows i watched as a child. In germany they are called Dick & Doof, a name not very pleasant meaning fat & dumb, but we have a history of "narrated" foreign shows. There was like a compilation of slapstick show, can't remember the name and it was only little bits and peaces from their movies or short films, mixed with Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, etc..
Been trying for a long time to get more by them for my collection and archive and have a 6 movie box of the movies from the Twentieth Century Fox productions, after the Hal Roach ones. So i have Great Guns, A Haunting We Will Go, Jitterbugs, The Dancing Masters, The Big Noise, The Bullfighters.

And just yesterday i found a great edition of 10 silent shorts done by EUREKA! from their series Masters of Cinema. I have several Buster Keaton editions done by them and what they put into the restoration is just amazing and the results are mind-blowing. Compared to the tv screening with unstable frames and low resolution this 2K restorations look so beautiful and clear and it's like seeing those movies for a first time.

Have you seen the 2018 Biopic Stan & Ollie, with steve Coogan as Stan and John C. Reilly as Ollie? I liked that very much.

I saw the first one back then but i skipped the second one, think because of the different director. Will give 28YL a try..later ;-)
