Sadly, I can't make this one, but a mate of mine is determined to go to this one, he wants to stop over in the area but isn't having any luck finding anything... is anyone else wanting to do this and, if so, any advice?

If you can offer any wise words, my mate thanks you in advance!

You mean a place to sleep?
Might try the Travelodge Northop Hall or something in/near Chester.
