Yes, it's really bad  :(. I alway loved ordering through the official NMA shop. Fast and reliable service, and really friendly people. And vinyl record orders usually had the little bonus of being autographed. In addition, there is the nice feeling of holding vinyl in your hand, being able to really enjoy the cover artwork and of course the much warmer and nicer sound of vinyl compared to the digital version  (and believe me, I'm definitely not one of those guys who gets an "eargasm" when listening to vinyl).
The digital version is simply not the same, although I much more often listen to mp3 just because it is more convenient.
Custom fees are a real bummer and so 1950s  ;). I assume that people from mainland Europe will not order in the UK anymore or much less than before Brexit. And of course this will hit the wrong people - bands or/and small stores that cannot afford a distribution (platform) outside the UK. With NMA, the result for me is that I will buy merch etc. at concerts only in the future. Surrounded was the first order I did via JPC in Germany and not through the NMA shop.
The results of Brexit are really sad...
