Amsterdam show tickets
« on: November 22, 2021, 07:45:56 AM »
Hi there,

Quick and probably stupid question -- but are people holding 2020 tickets and Melkweg memberships need to do anything to retain them for the 2021 shows? I can't seem to find any official communication from ticketmaster in my inbox, and was wondering if I need to do anything (other than hope those shows will go on, with the NL being in semi-lockdown at present...).

cheers,
Lukasz

Hello Lukasz, I too am in possession of 2020 tix and membership, my working assumption is they will roll over. I have fingers and everything else crossed for the situation in NL.

Cheers

This is the ticket master email I got June 17th this year.

New Model Army moved to 2021

Dear pim,

Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks. The event promoter has been in touch to let us know that the New Model Army concerts has been moved to a new date at the same location.

Message from the promoter:
Due to measures taken in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the events from New Model Army won't take place on its original date. Luckily we were able to find a replacement date. The events has been postponed to December 10 and 11 2021.

Your tickets, including any memberships, are automatically valid for the new date of the postponed event. You do not have to do anything to ensure this.

Should you be unable to make the new date, we´re offering you the possibility to convert the event ticket into a digital voucher, donate the event ticket money or ask for a refund. The economic impact of the corona crisis and the accompanying measures on the cultural sector are astronomical. To cope with the consequences, the Dutch cultural sector has developed a ticket scheme, with support from our Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. By holding on to your ticket for the rescheduled event, converting the event ticket to a digital voucher or donating the ticket money, you will be able to help us reduce the economic impact of the corona crisis. This means that we can continue preparing for future concerts and cultural events. This is not only helpful for the Melkweg, the artists and promotors, but also for all the people behind the scenes who make the events possible.

How does this work if you are unable to attend the event on the new date?

     1. VOUCHER You will be able to request a digital voucher equal to the original ticket price, including service and membership fees up until 4 weeks after receiving this e-mail via this link. You can use the credit of this voucher 24 months after it has been issued, to purchase a ticket for any event organized by Melkweg and sold via Ticketmaster. If you have not used your voucher (in full) after the expiry of the validity period, you will automatically be refunded the (remaining) amount.

     2. DONATE Should you not be able to use the voucher or want to do something extra, we also offer you the opportunity to donate the amount of your tickets via this link . Donations will go to the Melkweg Talent Fund, which is specially intended for programs and guidance of promising young artists. For Melkweg, offering up our space to new talent goes without saying, we´ve been doing so for the last 50 years. With your help we can continue to program these talented artists in the future! You can read more about our Talent Fund on our website. There, we also offer the opportunity to make single donations.

     3. REFUND Should you not be able to use the options mentioned above, it is possible to request a refund of the money for your ticket (s) within 4 weeks of receiving this email. If you choose to do so, we aim to refund the amount no later than one month after the new date of the moved program. This is in accordance with the aforementioned ticket scheme. You can request a refund of the purchase amount via this link.

Naturally, we hope to welcome you back in Melkweg very soon. In the meantime, we´re not sitting still and offer various options to enjoy our programming online. Curious? Check out our website!

Due to the large number of questions we receive right now, the response time at our customer service may be longer than usual.

You can find lots of information and answers to your questions in our FAQ’s. In addition, the website saveyourticket.nl contains information about the ticket value scheme that has been drawn up by the cultural sector in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Authority for Consumers and Markets. We also support this initiative and hope you can attend on the new date.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Team Ticketmaster

Looks like we're fucked for Amsterdam, it's gonna be the Rockpalast livestream then. Or the band can ask the Melkweg to let them play saturday and sunday afternoon before 5 o`clock.
