"Unbroken" the title sounds like NMA is a Metal band...
I really have no clue, but if the album description on the band's own
newmodelarmy.org home page is anything to go by...

I think it's almost safe to say that "
Unbroken" is
(possibly) going to be a heavier-sounding; perhaps even more urgent, driven and darker
(both with regards to sound and subject matter); as well as potentially being an edgier and louder album than "
From Here"
(NMA's preceding proper full-length studio recording was / is). Sounds seriously intriguing, pretty substantial and great, so far.
I hope there will be mellow and atmospheric songs in the album and not only angry energetic songs!

You, I, and others who adore the mellower, atmospheric, melodic, more
romantic side of
NMA, will just have to pester Mr.
Sullivan (in the kindest way possible, of course), for a follow-up to his stunning second solo offering, "
Surrounded". In good time, a third solo album
will come to fruition. I don't know how or why, but I've never been able to shake the
feeling.
No one
pens lyrics quite as soul-shifting, striking, profound, heartfelt and beautiful as Mr.
Sullivan does. NO one. So much of
JS' granddad is very much apparent, strong, alive and present in
JS. His grandfather would be intensely proud of him ---
JS' skill, talent, storytelling-through-song, gift; ability to reach, captivate and retain the listener, the audience, and, for continuing the
Sullivan tradition to write.
JS said in an interview that there will not be another solo record... tender lol, but I beg to differ. Yes, you heard it here first, folks. Not saying anytime soon, nor within the next 2 or 3 years, but there
will be a third solo record. You'll see. Never say never, they say.
Even if "
Unbroken" were to reveal one, two, or three songs of the softer, sweeter variety, I would still --- with open arms and wholeheartedly --- embrace and welcome a third
Justin Sullivan solo record.
