So, having listened to it a couple of rounds more I start to like it better. It might not reach "my-favourite-album"-status but it's growing on me. Mostly this is due to the fat and gritty, kind of hardcore-/punkrock style production which I like in general. I also focused more on the lyrics and some songs and the production decisions make much more sense to me now :-)

More than a year later and dozens of listens of UNBROKEN...I still think it's a solid album, "First summer after", "Cold wind", "I did nothing wrong", "Legend", "Idumea" and "If i am still me" are very good songs from NMA...but there are still 3/4 songs that I avoid ("Reload", "Deserters" and "Do you really want to go there?") where I still find energy but a more average inspiration.

I still like Unbroken but I have to admit I don't listen to it all that often these days.  Don't get me wrong, I still like most of it!  It's a solid album, as had been said, but it wouldn;t make my top ten.   :-\

NMA's peaks are so high that we've become hard on the band! I'd say UNBROKEN can be in my Top 10, but in ninth or tenth position. I don't find it better, probably worse than FROM HERE, but the album is maybe better than WINTER, CARNIVAL, STRANGE BROTHERHOOD...I still think there are at least 6 very good songs on UNBROKEN ("First summer after", "Cold wind", "Legend", "If i am still me", "Idumea" and "I did nothing wrong") that are worth the "classics" of past NMA albums.
