This is a sore point for me.

Would love for the official store to sell unadulterated masters of their releases.

Faint hope of that though.

^^ I refer to the modern habit of brick walling cd & digital versions of a release.

I compared the remaster of Vengeance 2CD to the 1987 release and Between Wine and Blood to it's vinyl counterpart. While the music is the same, the listening experience is quite different, especially in headphones.

The somewhat gimmicky release of recent albums as 24-bit audio is no real help as the dynamics in the format are completely squashed.
