What a great, great, fantastic, powerful rock night that was!

I went there early, good weather, wanted to walk around cologne a bit, tried to find the location by remembering, which line of the tram i have to use..and it kind of worked. So i was there about 2 hours before the concert. I could hear PREYRS doing the soundcheck and the support band was arriving and asked me if i was like involved in the venue. We had a good conversation and more people arrived, from Netherland and Frankfurt and they were waiting for more friends to come. I talked about being at the Palladium gig and discovering PREYRS while one woman said, that she was at the gig because of PREYRS and discovered NMA, but she also was a big Levellers Fan and how great that evening was for us.
Then i just had to sneak in the venue, searching for a toilet, the beer demanded its release to make space for more and i then almost ran into Amy behind the door and we had a nice, friendly chat almost directly picking up the conversation we had after the Amsterdam gig and i also could talk with Michael, the drummer and producer. Later we sat outside and guitarist Nolan also joined and these guys are so cool and friendly and open, i have so much respect for them doing the tour all by themselves, without a driver or roadys and i would say they really have a demanding schedule ahead.
At the concert Amy asked how many people came becuase of the NMA tour and some hands went up, don't know how many but about 10?...I met two NMA Fans i know, Harold and (the other Name i forgot) and i think both will look for more dates of PREYRS to attend. The group of people i met is doing several gigs and i will meet them today in Offenbach again.
The concert was full of energy, great setlist with new songs or at least i didn't know them, Amy puting out this wonderful energy, her voice and performance so intense and at the same time so friendly and smiling and you feel her excitement and it just spreads into the room. There was this situation when she came down into the crowd singing and for a moment on her way she was right in front of me, face to face, eye to eye, both singing..that was intense and wonderful. I got a little pushed while i was dancing and immediately thought, yeah let's mosh or move a little more but he crowd was not up for it, i felt a little restricted there and i also excused myself to the guy with his girlfriend into whom i was pushed to and by some looks and smiles everything was ok.
After the gig we sat outside, Nolan was there, not so very amused when i told him how far away Hamburg is, the show the next day, no, the show on the same day, it was late...again, i have so much respect for those travelling musicicans. Of course i missed my train home, but that's another whole story and i arrived safely, not quite sober but very happy, at 10 in the morning yesterday...
So now it's off to Offenbach.
If you have the opportunity to see them live on this tour through march in germany, shou should go!
