Wonderful gig!!! And the venue was also pretty good -I was at the back and had a good view and it was packed!

I saw a guy with a Mega City Four t-shirt! Hello!!!! Nice to see you! I thought I was he only one left with a t-shirt like that! And there was some amazing head banging down at the front during Vagabonds \m/

Really a great gig. Thank you once again, New Model Army!! I will take the feeling of elation with me during my xmas travels :)

Well I had a top night. Great to have the band back playing on my doorstep for the first time in 20 years. Nice to have my local packed with family before the gig too. I'm also pretty impressed with the Electric. Its more spacious than when it was the Fridge. The bouncers were a vast improvement on the morons at the Astoria. The sound was great after a ropey first two songs and the bar was nowhere near as expensive as certain London venues.

Setlist anyone? I think it was pretty much the same as Manchester with the addition of HCTW but it would be nice to see anyway. So after two solid days of mayhem I'm covered in bruises, my ears are suffering from shell shock and my liver just isn't speaking to me. Wouldn't have missed it for the world... Great to see you all. Have fun those of you heading to Amsterdam and Cologne. And Merry Xmas & New Year thing to Everyone :) ;) :)

I had a corker! Thanks to everyone for making a great night. No thanks to the rail service that made us wait for 2 hours in King's Cross after leaving the gig early!

A great night and gig but what a **** up of a journey.

Realised when I got to Euston that i had brought a used train ticket from Wednesday with me rather than one for Friday night.
Ah well have to jib the train back to Rugby.

Got back to Euston with a couple of minutes to spare to find out train had left early.
Snook onto train to Northampton. Got there at 1.30am then got into taxi. Wanted £58 to go 18 miles to Rugby.
**** that.
Rang a taxi from Rugby. Finally got home at 3.15am. Long journey home, but worth it to see NMA.

Great night indeed, topped off with a curry with Danny, Donia, Mama, Martin the One, Stoney, Matt, Gayle, Des, lfran, Archway, Jibberish, and Matt. I'm glad Archway didn't show me his finger until after the food.

Sorry we didn't get to meet Milla, we will have to have a pastry somewhere instead.

Cheers

JME take a bow and thanks for coming back to the Prince Albert with me and jsy Irish after for a few more - hope you got back to where you were going ok. Really great gig, everyone had a great big smile on their face afterwards and I heard a couple of people saying it had set them up for Xmas, one of my best gigs personally, just thought the atmosphere was right on the night, the crowd were bang up for it, the meet pub was great, it all just slotted together rather nicely really, only gutted not to be doing the Euro shows, next year I suspect...  ; ~ D

Sounds like a great night .. shame I missed it

BUT

Found a vid of G&G on yt today .. Wont stick it up here .. but can anyone  please explain what the outburst was from the audience when JS was introducing ? First thoughts are that someone was  trying to get some noisy gits to shutup APU ?

Have to say h e looked a bit put out/shocked /concerned even ..

..well y'know what I mean  its not what we are used to is it ?  anyone who was there ..Clarify/ explain ?

if indeed there is an explanation needed ..

London was, in common with thenight before really good! Great atmosphere in the pit, bit tight to really let rip, but that's London.
Good laugh in the Albert early doors too, nice trip down in the company of my favourite Yorkshire's as ever! I've been enjoying thesets up n down style, took a couple of days to get used to High being so early I admit........ But still blinding, the curry on Brick Lane en massse was really good........
My clogs are still enlisting some horrified looks from security the nation over! =) GOOD!!!!! ;D ;D

That guy with the MC4 t-shirt was me!. Hi to you as well, hope you had a great night.

I saw the Four's many times at the back end of the 80's and early 90's and have gathered many of their shirts that I nearly always wear at NMA gigs.
MC4 and NMA had one thing in common, that being the love of the road. Live music was the love of the group and trucking up and down the highways and byways of this country was what 'made them tick'.

My involvement came by chance, in that my Father was working with a chap called Chris Dunn who lend the group money (£500 I think) to buy a transit van (yes to go touring in). This was the same van talked about on the first album Tranzophobia (the fear of travelling around in transit vans).
By luck the group were playing in Exeter and I went to see them after only hearing the 'Miles Apart' Ep. On seeing them I was hooked and went on to see them in hundreds of gigs up and down the country.

Since the death of Wiz (Darren Brown - lead singer) the group are no more, although I do see that there is a tribute act doing the rounds (More 4 Wiz).

I found this on Youtube, a gig I attended in Gloucester in 1990 as part of the 'Who Care Wins' tour. This should give you a flavour of the energy of the band - enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/user/slack55/videos
