Island Monkeys!

I think this "Nickname" started in the 70's and 80's in and around Duesseldorf as many builders from the UK relocated to Germany to work in the construction industry.
They became well known for climbing up scaffolding without safety harnesses and hence got the name as they climbed like monkeys and came from "The Island".
