Fleetwood Mac - a band with great musicians - vocals and instrumential - and I can`t follow them (only a fe w songs - what a waste - my personal thoughts)  :-[

And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me

Delving deep into the new Iron Maiden album... rather complex, someone 'Maiden re-hashed' in places but still an enjoyable (and long) listen...

I hear it got to No 1 in 24 countries.  Not bad for a band pushing 40 years on the go...

I hear you, Ray. This reminds me also about Dickinson's own solo stuff and it has been quite good in charts. Some of the songs are actually enjoyable. Not so devilish, saying "bad"; in its veins but rather mundane stuff with catchy things.

Today I listened to first Rainbow album and reconstruated all the esoteric and occult feelings it has. Ronnie Dio and Blackmore really were top guys focusing on what they were best at.

My friends prefer Priests and not Maiden
I`m not into it very deep and can`t vote for this or that  ...

Not shure if  it was a bad or a good idea to buy some Manowar tickets for one of the next gigs in germany (but they can`t be that total worse than Priest or Maiden ;) to be on the road with friends ...

Fair enough, Lotus, gotta say Priest is a bit of a blind spot in my metal education...

I have a bit of similar thing with the Manowar. Never been like really into, but I've bought some of their early albums when young. So there are some things familiar but admit there are things connected with them I can't fully join with. Well, after all I think they should not be taken too seriously. It's quite often the fans that might act idiotically and why the band should be judged for that... However,  I think that Hail to England and Sign of the Hammer are their best albums. :)

I just had a conversation with my wife about M and she hates the band.  ::)

Their bassist, Joey DeMayo is a real kick ass player. Songs like Guyana the Cult of the Damned,  and Mountains are really worth to listen. As well as several of his bass solo songs.

Black Flag, 'Damaged' album... great album but the only one of theirs I own.  Any BF fans out there who can guide me further?
