The Charlatans "The only one I know" live in my home town of Northwich at the Memorial Court from Wednesday 18th of May.  I've also heard it at the venue that was there previously back in 1990.

Top tune... I think The Charlatans are a very under-rated band, they've done several fine albums outside of the period when they were fashionable...

I don't suppose you were there when they played The M Club in Crewe (great venue, now sadly knocked down) a few years ago?  Fantastic gig.

December 2009 was the date of the gig.  I've a live recording of it but didn't attend, don't remember seeing it advertised otherwise I may have gone.   I saw The Twang there in September 2009 and thought it was a good venue especially with it's proximity to Northwich but like a lot of good things, it didn't last.
 
Not a big fan of The Charlatans although I enjoyed the songs when I played back my recording, better than what I thought as they played some good tunes.

Seeing as I'm going to see Machine Head at Nottingham Rock City on Monday, it's a big MH trip for me this weekend to get me in the mood... can't wait, one of the finest metal bands that are going at the moment, they should be way bigger than Metallica (who are just going through the motions for the cash these days....)
