Anyone remember Doves?  Cracking good band from the 2000's, melodic indie stuff, they've got their first new album out in a decade,. it's called The Universal Want and it's a belter...

I'm on a bit of a Joy Division trip tonight, so its Unknown Pleasures and Closer back to back and maybe a few rareties and live versions on Youtube later...  ;)

Well, blimey, I didn't even know that Mr Brian Warner (aka that Marilyn Manson chap) had a new one out (WE ARE CHAOS) and wow, what a great album it is.  His 11th and it might actually be his best. Yes, it has the usual industrial / groovy / glam rock stuff but this time there's a strong string of melancholy and melodic stuff.  Ten fine and excellent songs, not a trace of filler among them.  I know there are fans of our friend Brian around these parts, here's the three songs that have videos allocated to them (it does seems to be a thing these days to release half the album before the official release date!), whattdya think?
