Basho (17th Century Japanese poet)
« on: March 29, 2012, 06:41:20 PM »
I have been reading translations of this wonderful poet, and just yesterday came across this passage which made me immediately think of NMA:

"...all who have achieved real excellence in art possess one thing in common, that is, a mind to obey nature, to be one with nature, throughout the four seasons of the year. Whatever such a mind sees is a flower, and whatever such a mind dreams of is the moon. It is only the barbarous mind that sees other than the flower, merely an animal mind that dreams of other than the moon...."
There's only one thing left for me to do. I'm gonna ding a ding ding my ding a lang ling long
