Thieving b******s
« on: June 19, 2012, 08:58:02 AM »
Just got my sons <cough> copy of Rock Sound delivered. Obviously I need to read it before passing on to him.
Article in there highlighting an 'epidemic' of bands 'getting robbed on the road' . Latest list.........

The Skints
Skrillex (to be fair this could be in the interests of music fans everywhere)
Blessthefall
Mogwai
The Menzingers

Organised or random?
Today is a good day, however, yesterday was s.... The older I get the better I was.

Well  as far as NMA are concerned, when I heard at Strummercamp, straight away I thought pre-planned especially after the fire, the robbing bastards knowing new kit would be there etc.

Give me 5 mins with these people....... >:(

Gotta say, insurance or no, if someone half inched my 20 year old Lowden, even if it was knackered as f$ck, I would be pretty peed off, you just can't replace things like acoustic guitars that you've set up to your absolute satisfaction and where the wood has aged and the whole instrument just fits you, you've played it so many times. And that from a guitarist who's far from virtuoso.

Exactly................ 5 or 6 years in things really click with guitars.......... I've had my main weapons since 97 fer my Les Paul studio deluxe, and 2006 Les Paul Custom. The SG was a gift in 2009, but it fit instantly care of the playin' in via my Ticson brother in Demon City Wreckers....... I could not part with any of them. My 355 I've had since 2005 and try to keep it as pristine as possible, she's a beauty is Lucille!
