Cult / Mission - Birmingham / London
« on: September 07, 2012, 11:43:20 PM »
Firstly, apologies for another Cult / Mission thread, which must be tedious if you are not interested, but everyone else is posting date by date so I will too.

Just to say as others have said for their gigs, if you are going to Brum or London, feel free to come and say hi and we'll have a beer and a chat, at the gig or the pub before  - will have an Army shirt on. Is anyone else here going? Would like to have done the northern gigs but it would have cost me valuable leave from work that I need for Paris and Amsterdam!

Also I have a spare standing ticket for London (standing is now sold out) for cost or offers up to cost.  I would rather it went to someone who wants it, than a tout.

Viv, I  hope its OK me posting here rather than the Trades/Swaps folder as it's about more than just a Trade, and also it is not an NMA trade - Ta!

We'll be there too (Hammersmith), as you know - I weas gonna look into pre-gig meet-up pubs this weekend or early next week (I have one in mind but at the moment I can't remember what it's called), I'll post here for anyone interested... any suggestions are of course welcome

Well, if you favour tradition there's this - it's opposite the tube entrance (but at the opposite end from the Apollo), you can't really miss it. I haven't been there for years, but you know what to expect....

Equally happy with anything else more imaginative that's nearby...

I've looked it up and the one I had in mind is actually the Duke of Cornwall, http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/51/5193/Duke_of_Cornwall/Hammersmith

literally round the corner from the Apollo and the usual meet-up pub for gigs there (at least in my experience) - for this reason it might be a bit crowded mind, but if it's not pissing down you can stand on the pavement outside. We'll definitely be there as a last stop before going in - say from 6ish, though if we manage to get to Hammersmith early enough we might hit a pub slightly further away from the venue first (possibly one of the riverside pubs, again weather permitting)
