Hey, that's something I noticed too... I've lost about 50 messages!  I used to be a 'full member' but now I'm just an 'established member'!

I'll never be 'totally obsessed' at this rate!

They clean up some of the old posting from time to time.  That "Follow This or That" gets cleaned every so often.  Just keep making drunken posts and you'll be obsessed in no time.
