New Model Army - Lyrics

I tried putting together the lyrics for the demo "New Model Army" which is quite interesting for obvious reasons.  It's hard to understand at places due to the demo qualitiy of the track. So there are some gaps there. This is what I understood:

New Model Army

I was less than seventeen
when I left the farm
Marching out with the village men
to join the men at arms
Training pike and musket work
and learned the bible creed
and marched out to meet the king
to end that tyranny

My brother fell at Naseby field
when the war was almost won
They buried him in a shallow grave

and hold our banners high
We were fighting for our liberty
Fighting for our rights

The smoke cleared into the summer sky

The king's folk called his process
and stained his guilted hands

While Cromwell planned his Commonwealth
as England held its breath

We waited in our summer camps
Singing round the fires
Talking of these victories
and the land that was ours
But Cromwell'S generals turned on us

because we owned no land

Viv, now that many of us are firmly addicted to it, can the -March in September- lyrics be added to this list, or will we have to wait until,, well, September ?

OK, I'll wait  , but I am gagging to hear what that March in September  is going to sound like as a recording. Can't get it out of mi" ed., the drums, the organ, the haunting vocal and backing vocals. An NMA classic  of our current times.

Thanks NickyG, don't know how I missed that. Still, now after I've read it a couple of times, I can go around the house adding some lyrics to it instead of just humming the tune !!
