No South American Tour?!
« on: July 22, 2013, 02:37:16 PM »
I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and I've been to all NMA's past gigs here in my city (1991 - one night; 2007 - two nights; and 2010 - two nights. So I'm appalled, flabbergasted, astonished, surprised etc. to see this year's Tour Dates and... NO SOUTH AMERICAN DATES?! Please, ye all Brazilians, come support me in my plea to see New Model Army BACK TO BRAZIL!

mudgeek, have patience... just because there aren't any NMA dates in your vicinity announced now, don't think it won't happen.  NMA visit all corners of the world, just not necessarily in the immediate aftermath of a new album coming out.  OK, I know I'm a UK resident so I'm gonna be getting my fix pretty soon, but I've been to many gigs that weren't related to any particular album and I know that the lads appreciate their SA following... again, be patient, mate!  And if, by some chance, you manage to get over to these shores, I'm sure there are plenty of posters who will help you out...

Thanks for the kind words, Master Ray. But I guess you never had to wait at least three years to see your favorite band live. I had the "patience" to wait sixteen years to see them in 2007, since their last visit to this "land of corruption". I'm waiting for a "ray of light"...  ::)

Appreciated and understood, mudgeek.  Sorry if I sounded a bit patronising.  As I've said on other posts, we are truly spoiled in the UK and, I guess, much of Europe.

I really hope that the guys make it over to your country sometime soon.

...and onwards to Australia and New Zealand, of course - a corner of the world that has been waiting patiently for a long, long time.
