Well, I'd have to pluck a Woven Hand record but I can't say which one -
And I guess I'm only allowed one Shane/Pogues Lp so would it be the Snake or the Crock of Gold or Pogues in Paris or Hells Ditch?  I guess it would be Crock of Gold but a bit cruel that i can't have the others too...
Cave's Abattoir Blues and No More Shall We Part doubles...I'd need some metal in the list too - not sure if I'd go for Scorpions Blackout or Scorpions Tokyo Tapes - Brain Donor's Love Peace and ****
And nothing wrong with Monty Pythons soundtrack to the Holy Grail - Yup, I guess we could all write a book of our fave non NMA LP's
Laughing Lenny's 'Songs from the Road' would have to be there for those versions of Avalanche and Lover Lover and The Partisan - what a great record.
And I'd need some Van Morrisson - maybe The Healing Game.

But THEE ONE all time fave non NMA LP - and indeed fave LP has to be Blue Oyster Cults Fire Of Unknown Origin - no, maybe Big Audio Dynamites No 10 - No hang on make that...etc...

Crikey, I find it hard enough to narrow down fave NMA albums....

So how about:

First and Last and Always- The Sisters of Mercy
The Good Son - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Pornography - The Cure
Still - Joy Division
Love - The Cult
Bishop of Buffalo - Rev Hammer
The Weight of Your Love - Editors
Sleeping with Ghosts - Placebo
Script of the Bridge - the Chameleons
The Living End - Husker Du

Too hard for me to choose just 3 or 5 favourite albums because I love too many of them and they're very different from each other too. Also because my favourite music depends on my current moods too.

But.

Since you're asking...

Something by the Manic Street Preachers, maybeeeeee.... ^_____________^
Expecting their new album too.

Wovenhand, Pogues, Pythons, Blue Oyster Cult  - what a mix
and I like it ;)

And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

I also cannot wait for the new Manics albums, been a huge fan since seeing them play a pub in Stoke in the very early 90's... got so much rare vinyl stuff... loving the two tracks from RTF that are out on FB...

Coming out next Monday, isn't it?  Can't wait...

For me, it's gotta be:

Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
Kate Bush - The Sensual World
Peter Gabriel - So
Killing Joke - Pandemonium
Killing Joke - Democracy
Metallica - The Black Album
Therapy? - Troublegum
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Tori Amos - From the Choirgirl Hotel
Skunk Anansie - Paranoid and Sunburnt

No one cares anymore where you've been
So you find a quiet place to shed that old skin
You won't need it again

Favourite non-NMA albums...?  Here goes, but this is what comes to mind *today*:

The Mire - Volume II - just stunning, solid emotion
Adam and the Ants - Kings of the Wild Frontier - for its time, can't be beaten - truly unique
Napalm Death - Scum - too important to ignore, still need a regular fix
Alcatrazz - Disturbing the peace - Graeme Bonnet, for me the biggest balls-out rock singer, always 100%
Yes - 91025 - it just works
Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake - for reviving metal
Faith No More - King for a day, fool for a lifetime - everything is on this, everything
Public Enemy - It takes a nation of millions to hold us back - too many great songs: black steel, channel zero...
The Wonder Stuff - Eight legged groove machine - for what it means to me, even now...places, people, friends....

That's *today*.  Don't even ask about individual songs.....
bah.  humbug.

Skunk Anansie - Paranoid and Sunburnt

It's a good album...one of their last ones "Wonderlustre" is very good too...i saw them live 2 years ago and they were great, very energetic gig with a terrific performance from Skin!

Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
Kate Bush - The Sensual World

I need to listen to more albums of her...i have the "Hounds of Love" cd and it is really good, love the hit "Running up that hill"!

Faith No More - King for a day, fool for a lifetime - everything is on this, everything

My fav FNM album is "Angel Dust" (i like "the real thing" too) but i  agree that there are some really nice tracks on this album..."Just a man" is incredible!!

Yes - 91025 - it just works

"Owner of a lonely heart"!!...i like this song!...others Yes albums to recommend? Their 70's stuff is said to be pretty good ("Close to the edge", "Fragile"..)
