A bit of everything for everyone.
The Social Ignition are a Ska fusion band with a melting pot of musical influences, from Folk to Funk, Jazz and Punk but always with a main focus on Reggae, Ska and Two-tone. The broad range in musical interests and influences of the band members adds to their interesting, diverse sound and makes their genre more difficult to categorise. With a little bit of something for everyone, from skank-tastic brass to funkadelic guitar licks, they really are an ‘aural treat’ and something ‘not to be missed’.
BLACKBALLED Groove Rock...was formed in the summer of 2012 by brothers marshall and leon gill. after working together on songs and ideas they were soon joined by tom wibberley on bass to complete the line up.
the following months saw the band writing at every rehearsal. each song was barely finished before the next new track was on its way. so it was decided they should start taking steps to make BLACKBALLED a serious venture.
Northamptonshire singer-songwriter Stevie Jones has been playing live music and entertaining audiences for over 25 years. More recently Stevie has been heavily involved in running the music service Wildfire Sessions putting on gigs and open mics across the East Midlands
