Forum gig
« on: November 18, 2013, 05:09:20 AM »
Good morning!

Does anyone know what the arrangement is with the Forum for this year's gig? Last year (or two years ago) we could all freely access both the standing and the seating areas, whatever ticket we had bought. Is it the same for this year too?

Really looking forward to the gig :D

Milla! You gonna be in London, great! I thought we'd lost you to the mountains, another good reason to look forward to the gig.

Cheers

Sorry for high-jacking the thread, but non-Londoners (and Londoners in fact) might want to pay attention to this:

there is NO Northern Line this Saturday, due to the usual perfect timing by TFL in the choice of which lines to shut down.
As a result, to get to the Forum you need to take a train to Kentish Town rail station (next to the tube station, so by far the nearest to the venue) from St. Pancras International (there should be plenty but check times) or the Overground line (orange on the maps) to Kentish Town West (slightly further away); you can get this from Highbury & Islington, on the Victoria (light blue) line.
Those of you who were thinking of going to Camden first can do so by getting off at Camden Road, one stop before Kentish Town West on the Overground Line. Those (most likely including me) who want to start in the Bree Louise may also want to bear this in mind, cos it won't be possible to take the tube up so it might be necessary to leave the pub in good time to walk/bus it up to Kentish Town.

The mountains where I stretch my arms without fear of falling (to paraphrase Justin) will let me go for a couple of days ;)
I will come looking for you at the front!!

Thank you Danny for giving us the info about transport, or lack of it, on Saturday. Some things never change...

Thanks for the travel information it gives me more time to plan on how to get back to my hotel. I see they are running buses to replace the tubes though it is always a pain when they shut down the tube network.

Another option for people who were planning on using the tube, is to get the Piccadilly line to Caledonian Road, and walking from there. Should be about a 20-25 min walk.

What's the consensus on Milla's question about access inside the venue? I have an 'upstairs ticket' and don't want to be prevented from gettin down and sweaty!

If there are movement restrictions, the way round it is to ask two people going into the downstairs area if one of then will then come back out with both their ticket stubs, give one to you, so you and they can then get in downstairs and then they can get their stub back and you are in, repeat the required number of times.

As far as I understand it there are no restrictions on movement tonight, though that might change depending on  tickets sold on the door so get in early to go where you want to go!
