Thanks for all these comments. I also enjoyed it more than any other so far. It was great fun...and yes, they've actually already said they want us back next year (I bet they do).
Worth saying that the reason I started doing this (a couple of years ago in Manchester) was because the gig was an early finish and I thought it would be good to have something to do afterwards. As it was in Manchester, I was able to do it.
It went really well and it's how I got the Strummecamp gigs...but it also made me think it would be worthwhile doing more regularly. It's also resulted in me getting to know so many people that, even though I've been following the band since 1986, I didn't know before. What a fine bunch too!
These nights are just meant to be fun and Saturday night was all that! Looking forward to doing it again soon.
