OK, you might think I've got a screw loose here but THE LEGO MOVIE is honestly, truly, the funniest film I've seen all year. Yes, it's got all the colourful fun stuff that kiddies will enjoy, but the script is genuinely funny with loads of jokes that might go over the heads of the kids but will strike a chord with the adults.

If you've got little sprogs, watch it with them, I think you'll all enjoy it.  And if you haven't got any, check it out anyway!

And, IMO, the best big-screen portrayal of Batman ever...

Just stuck on one of my favourite movies ever, ONCE... a micro-budget Irish film that won an Oscar...

A busker meets an eastern-European girl and they make some music together.  That's pretty much the plot.  And it's great... funny, well-acted, it had some terrific tunes and, at the end, it's utterly heartbreaking...

It became a hugely successful Broadway music which is still running in the London West End... I saw it last year and it was even better than the film...

I can't recommend it enough.  Here's the Oscar winning song 'Falling Slowly', the first time it's played... the second time is devastating...

Anyone been watching HAPPY VALLEY?  I gave it a miss, thinking it was just another crappy cop show, but recommendations from friends made me check it out... it's terrific, brilliantly acted and scripted and quite shocking at times...

If you fancy a strong UK drama, I'd get on it...

So, tonight I watched the new episode of GAME OF THRONES (superb!), the first 30 minutes of the OLDBOY remake (the original is one of my fave Asian movies of all time, but this new version was so shit I couldn't watch anymore), a recent Brit film called HONOUR, starring the great Paddy Constantine (not a bad flick...) and I'm falling asleep to an old DOCTOR WHO story called 'Terror Of The Zygons'...

Orange is the New Black. It's a netflix series about a women's prison. it does a great job of capturing lust, loneliness and sex.

I've difficulty watching such shows man. like I wish they were less raunchy so that I can respect the plot instead of all this ridin' and sex and stuff.....

Heno, you checked out BREAKING BAD yet (as I'm sure I've mentioned so many times before when anyone brings up TV stuff...  )

Terrific show, great actors and the real hard stuff is kept to a minimum (which makes it all the more shocking when it happens...)

Five seasons of utter awesomeness and probably my favourite TV show ever.
