I'm not a big fan of Star Trek (more of a Doctor Who fan), but dammit, THE WRATH OF KHAN is a cracking good sci-fi movie...

Not a fan of the films, but love the original 60's TV series. As many times as I seen re-runs over the past decades, its always good to watch again. Come to think of it, it has been a long time now since it has been shown.

Watched the last two of The Code on Saturday. Very enjoyable 6 parter from Australia. Reminiscent in places of the first 2 series of Damages with Government corruption and how it destroys the lives of ordinary folk.  Good strong characters with very human sides and unlike US dramas wasn't full of airbrushed lovelies.

Anyone watching Gotham?  Very disappointed thus far. If it doesn't improve tonight under my three episode rule that'll be it and I won't bother.

Other than that I've mainly been working through the Wonders of Animals series with Chris Packham.
And I wish and I wish we could start over again Yes I wish and I wish we could win back Her love once again

Andy, I'm quite liking GOTHAM, watching at US speed (was the third episode the one with death-by-weather-balloon?  Thought that was ace!) so I'm a bit ahead of you... to be honest, if it hasn't grabbed you yet, I'd probably give up.  It doesn't change or accelerate significantly.

I'm in the same boat about HOMELAND.  Loved the first 2 series, third was a bit iffy but gave the new series a try but it's going nowhere, IMO, purely and simply because THAT character has gone (no spoilers here!).  It's now a case of making a show purely because it made a shitload of money before and they want some more... there's no real reason for it to exist.

Ashamed to say, I'm a huge movie buff but I never got round to seeing MIDNIGHT COWBOY...   :-[

Love the Faith No More version of the main theme, though...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s0-EenKPss

Just watched DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (again)... terrific stuff.  The term 'Hollywood blockbuster' has been demeaned by so much shitty stuff over recent years, but this is spectacular entertainment.  Well worth a look.

Well,,, I am shocked.

I thought you would be able to quote from the film. Things Like "Hey, I'm walking here"

Maybe you should get into Notts a few hours earlier next month. I'll supply the film, you bring a 4 pack.

It's great.  Kind of like 'The Office' but with political stuff and truly spectacular swearing.  Deffo give it a go 'you big gay shite!'  ;D  (sorry, one of my favourite TTOT quotes...)
