I watched both series of Ross Kemp in Afghanistan back to back. Interesting. Quite apparent getting shot at was stressing him towards the end of the second.

Agreed.  Loved the way it constantly harked back to the original vacation movie, one of my favourite comedies ever.

Rewatching the original 'Millenium Trilogy' of the Swedish 'Girl With...' movies, not seen them since they first came out.  Superb, much better than the US remake of the first one.... watched 'Dragon Tattoo' and 'Played With Fire' back to back, I'll save 'Hornets Nest' until Sunday...

I do realise that anyone not familiar with these movies might think that it sounds like porn...

Dead Zone with Christopher Walken

80's classic.

I love this film, probably my favourite David Cronenberg film and an incredible, heartbreaking performance from Christopher Walken.
There's a really sad, melancholic tone i find haunting in this movie...the soundtrack, the winter locations, the doomed Johnny Smith's character, a good, likeable man who has lost everything in his life...the ending is especially great and powerful and always brings tears in my eyes!
Fine supporting performances too, from lovely Brooke Adams to Martin Sheen and Herbert Lom:
