So, caught that new Captain America movie... yeah, it's very enjoyable, took a while to get going, deffo overlong (like so many movies nowadays) but it was a fun trip to the pictures, made even better by a meal and a couple of beers with my best mate...

At least it made more laughs in it than Batman Vs Superman...

.. mind you, Schindlers List had more laughs than bloody Batman Vs Superman...

Watching The Moomins with my 2 year old son at the moment. It's a bit of a favourite of his. I think the Polish Fuzzy Felt Moomins narrated by Richard Murdoch is the definitive Moomins, but the Japanese version from the mid nineties, although it takes a bit of getting used to, is surprisingly watchable. Unfortunately the Fuzzy Felt version seems to have disappeared from YouTube.

Loved the Moomins.

Always a moral story in there and obviously lovingly animated.

Tove Jansson was featured on "Great lives" recently on R4 I believe.

Captain America - yes certainly entertaining enough. Not something I would normally watch. I suppose it had an ok story to it. Hate when films end and you realise you now have to watch another part.

Rewatched Man of Steel. One of my faves I think.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

Just finished SPECIAL CORRESPONDANTS, an original Netflix movie... surprisingly good, Ricky Gervais' stuff has been a bit hit and miss recently, but this one is well worth a punt if you have Netflix... trailer..?

Mate, I think you missed off the 'smiley face' emoticon at the end of that post... otherwise... seriously?   :o

I'd take 'Superman 4 - The Quest For Peace' over MOS... and that is a notoriously dreadful flick!

Ive also recently watched Gods of Egypt. When I say watched, I looked at the screen for half an hour before realising I had some pencils that needed sharpening. Awful awful mind numbingly dull film.

Yeah, DB, also tried to watch Gods Of Egypt... got through about 40 minutes.  I see It officially opens in UK cinemas next month... good God, I feel like hanging round outside my local cinema and stopping people watching it, by force if necessary... it's that bad.

Can't believe it's from the same director who did 'The Crow' and the hugely under-rated 'Dark City'...

Horizon - e cigs - miracle or menace - mmm a fairly balanced program even from beeb . Think they should have included someone from the independent vaping industry or the new nicotine alliance. Thought getting someone for big tobacco to do some research / testing came across to me at least as untrustworthy especially as independent companies have majority of the market and most vapers won't use big tobaccos e cig products. There conclusions  if you don't smoke don't vape, if you do then vaping is a good way to quit, so fair enough

Just watched the very last ever episode of BANSHEE, one of my fave shows of the last few years.  I was a bit disappointed with this fourth series, but the last episode was excellent. No spoilers, but I can't believe that I didn't figure out that (someone) killed (someone else)!  ;)
