Independence Day - Resurgence.

Yes, it's as daft as the original, makes bugger-all sense in places and I truly think it was written by a twelve-year old... but at least it's a fun slice of silliness like blockbusters used to be, unlike certain other gloomy entertainments recently (yes, Batman vs Superman, I'm looking at you).

And it has Jeff Goldblum in it. Jeff Goldblum makes everything better.

Have seen the new Star Trek and Jason Bourne films in the last few days.

Preferred Jason Bourne. V good. Nice end for another instalment.

I found in Star Trek some of the "fast action" scenes were too fast and I found it hard to see and follow what was happening.

Matt Damon with no shirt on...looking good... wouldn't mind accidentally getting stuck to him in the sweat soaked pit at a NMA gig.

Watched Jason Bourne today, liked it... heck, it kept me awake, a mean feat when you've got insomnia as bad as I do right now (and I do have a habit of falling asleep in cinemas...)

Didn't add anything particularly new to the ongoing saga, but it was a fun watch with a couple of great action sequences.

Might try and make the Star Trek one, I did quite like the two movies since the reboot.

I think it's gonna be a BoJack Horseman kind of an evening... watched the first season (a trailer for which is beneath) but never got around to carrying on with it.  Very funny.  All episodes on Netflix.

Aw shit, mate, wait until you get into season three... there are two moments (which I won't spoil for you, obviously) when I genuinely went 'DAMN, I can't believe that just happened!'

After a bit of binge watching just finished season three, won't give out any spoilers but my fav bit involved a certain heavy tattooed indian gentleman. Definitely a lot more violence in season 3 . Some of the plots are definitely a bit far fetched but  enjoyable. Might take season 4 a bit more slowly as I hate box set withdrawal, definitely gonna miss Lucas , Anna , Jobe and Sugar when its done. Special mention to Rebecca as well lol

Ha!  That bit when (someone) got their (something) (something) out was my personal favourite bit of nastiness, but whatever.

Get on s4, sir, I personally was a bit disappointed by it, it spends far too much time on a subplot that has little to do with the usual Banshee characters (only 8 eps too), but it really wraps up well at the end!

Glad you liked it, Pol.  Jobe is, indeed, awesome.  A spin-off series, perhaps?   

My favourite bit of his (and you had to be there to 'get' it) was when he was calling Hood next to a field full of cows, hung up, turned to the bovines and totally out of the blue just said 'What the **** are you looking at?'   

Great show, highly recommended.
