Just finished watching Boys from the Blackstuff "shop thy neighbour" episode. Not seen it since the early 80s but still very powerful. Julie Walters on top form. Not easy to watch at times so if you are looking for laughs maybe not suitable.

Iconic series, would love to watch it all again. Remember there was couple of dry / black humour bits and pieces. Remember in one episode, Yozza goes to confession,

"I'm desperate Father"
"Call me Dan"
"I'm desperate Dan"

just watched Rogue One. Good film. Slow to start and some disjointed moments but a couple of clever nods to 1977.

Watched rogue one a couple of nights ago. Thought it was ok but enjoyed the one before a bit more.

I'm confused is it set somewhere between the second and third films, that's the original second and third films (episodes 5 n 6) grr fcking star wars has to be so fcking complicated lol

The accountant - didn't really enjoy it, maybe wasn't paying attention enough. A kinda modern day rain man (sort of) with a twist.

Homeland - pretty decent, still on season 1 , kinda typical American cia/ fbi thriller thing . Recommend for fans of the blacklist

Haven't seen it yet, but its my understanding that it's set directly before the original Star Wars, also known as A New Hope or episode 4...

Frankie goes over the top in his live show from the citizens theatre - Glasgow gorbals . Frankie at his outrageous best/worst. Jaw droppingly crude n no fcking way in parts yet incredibly funny in most.
A must see for fans , A best avoided for those who aren't.

Must get on that, I do like Mr Boyle.  You familiar with Jim Jefferies?  Aussie comedian, like Mr Boyle he's so 'wrong' in places but there's usually a point to what he's saying.

Prefer the first one myself, a bit more stripped down and nasty, but you're right, Arnie made some cracking good 'beer and pizza with your mates' movies.  Predator is a personal favourite... ever seen the clip 'Predator The Musical'?

Watching jack  teacher , normally hate the wee  dick tam cruise, but its entertaining enough, plenty of action and half decent plot
