Saw Passengers last week .
Was ok.
No thrills or spills.
Some might find Jennifer Lawance in her swimming cozzie the high light of the film.

 

Took your advice, gave it a go just now... rather enjoyed it, slow in places but it's 2 hours of my life that I don't regret spending on it.

I'm sure I've brought this up before, but you ever seen 'The Raid', truly amazing South Korean flick?  The sequel is pretty good too... trailer for the first on here... get on it if you haven't seen it.

Caught up with All is Lost. Robert Redford adrift at see. Pretty good film...if a little bit "how much bad luck can you have"

Treated myself to a Blu-Ray of 'Taxi Driver'.  Haven't watched it in donkeys years, what a stunning film.  One of the very best films from the 70's, such a study in loneliness and anger.

Slightly depressing, though, watching Robert De Niro at his best and remembering what utter shite he appears in nowadays... 'The Intern', 'Dirty Grandpa'?  He'll do any old crap these days if the cheque has enough zeroes in it.

Yes, I watched that. Liked it.  I like these nautical nightmare type films, they want to get out of the situation but where is there to go. As for the question, "how much bad luck can you have", well when its on you, you can't shake it off.

Two weeks ago our Iron , next day the Microwave blew up and both needed replacing. Then the cooker extractor fan. Last week the car failed its MOT , I had to buy a new wish-bone or something. The next day the cooker packed in (jealous of the attention the fan was getting). Now, the crowning glory, Sunday the heating went off. Yesterday the boiler condemned.

Shush, sounds like serious problems with the electrics in your house (says Mr States The Bleedin' Obvious...) how longs your meter been in there?  Mine was in for God knows how long and I had similar problems.  Maybe consult your electricity supplier?

Mate that'd be an awful movie!! You could at least be excused for cussing. Boilers are a bloody nightmare. You can pretty much expect the others to break but not all together ffs  but boilers are big bucks. What a bummer
