MR I love the book and first film. The only bit of that and King's other books that fall flat is the endings for me....all the fantastic story telling ends up as a damp squib.
I digress....Kingsman. Few years old but still love it.

MR....how do you like the look of 'Hostiles'...only caught a trailer on Youtube but looks potentially a very good film. Interested in the theme of the old American West too.

Hostiles does, indeed, look interesting.  Will check it out.

Anyone ever watched 'Wild Bill', a UK flick from a few years back?  I remember great reviews but never got around to seeing it, did so the other night and it was excellent.  Trailer here...

I've 'obtained' it but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.  Your recommendation has pushed it up my 'to watch' list, I trust your judgement, sir!

Just finished watching 'Broken Arrow', classic 90's action movie cheesiness and so funny.  Love those gravelly-voiced- narrator-man trailers...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De29KipeZQw

Just got back from 'Kingsman - The Golden Circle' at the cinema.  Bloody great, a sequel that's just as good (if not better) as the original, albeit a bit overlong.  Great action scenes, genuinely LOL hilarious in places and, surprisingly, a bit moving in others.   I certainly enjoyed it more than the last Bond film.  I'd give it a go if you liked the first one.

As per Pol's recommendation, I gave 'England Is Mine' a go and it was a pretty decent film.  Morrissey, The Early Years!

Glad you enjoyed it,  Not sure how accurate it was .

Breaking bad the movie-  basically a best of the tv box set condensed into a cpl of hours.  Good to spend some time with old friends if you've seen the tv show,  if not a pretty decent film tho the more cynical might view it as a dead horse cash in

Finally got to see all of IT (2017) . Excellent one of the best horror films I've seen in a long time,  brilliant use of cgi n a  half decent story . Up.there for the best film of the year imo . The only disappointment we have to wait till 2019 for the next part .

Glad you liked it, mate.  Why do more horror movie makers not realise that if you have likeable, three-dimensional  characters that people are invested in, the horror stuff has more impact?

Very funny in places, as well.

Gave 'Spiderman - Homecoming' a go and it was far better than I expected!  These superhero movies are getting a bit overwhelming and overdone these days, but this one was genuinely excellent, very funny a lot of the time.  The British kid playing Peter Parker was spot on and Michael Keaton (one of my favourite actors) was a superb villain.  Thumbs up from me if you into this sort of stuff...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39udgGPyYMg

Now, if there was a thread called 'What are you watching next weekend', I'd be posting this there but seeing as there isn't... the new Blade Runner film is getting superb reviews all around and it opens on Friday.  Well, that's what I'm shoving in my eyes next weekend... been waiting for this one since '82.  :D   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCcx85zbxz4
